Bangla Channel Swimming 2011
Musa Ibrahim set off from Badar Mokam point under Shah Pari Island of Teknaf to end at Saint Martin's Island at 11:45am on Wednesday. He reached Jetty Ghat of Saint Martin's Island within six hours of setting off at 5:45pm, Teknaf police sub-inspector Ranjit Kumar Barua said.
Lipton Sarker of Extreme Bangla, an adventure club, assisted Musa, along with other two swimmers Mizanur Rahman Sinha and Linkon, in the expedition 'Bangla Channel Swimming-2011'. The expedition was led by Lipton.
Lipton reached 10 minutes ahead of Musa hitting the destination. The rescue team withdrew Mizan from the expedition two hours later when he complained of sickness. The expedition was arranged by North Alpine Club of Bangladesh (NACB) and Extreme Bangla. Bangladesh Navy assisted to arrange the expedition.
